this can be viewed as the typical anger one might expect after becoming disabled

it might also be a way the film makers ditch the stereotype of helplessness

Extreme competitiveness

Idea that disabled peopled need help. "do you need help getting back to your car?"

Rugby and wheelchairs seem to be contradictory

Rowdy house parties with beer, etc goes against the stereotype

Joe seems to be typical dad who wants his son to be involved in sports

Jess classifies Mark Zuppa as a jock despite being in a wheelchair

Jess said, that in part her mothering instinct attracted her to Mark

girls are not threatened by guys in the chair

typical scene with girls asking the quads if they can still get erections
